Display Concepts receives ISO 9001:2008 quality
management systems certification
Z-AXIS, Inc., manufacturer of Display
Concepts video display monitors for ATMs, has achieved ISO 9001:2008
certification, meeting the most current quality systems
standard of the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO). This certification establishes that
Z-AXIS meets stringent requirements for quality systems and
processes, which ensure that it can reliably provide quality
products and services to its customers worldwide.
Z-AXIS became ISO 9001:2008 certified following extensive
analysis of its quality management systems from independent
auditing firm and accredited registrar Perry Johnson
Registrars, Inc. The audit addressed all areas of Z-AXIS’
operation - from product design and manufacturing, to
delivery and customer service.
"Z-AXIS has a long-standing reputation for superior quality
and service, and ISO 9001:2008 certification underscores our
ongoing commitment to that," said Michael Allen, president
of Z-AXIS. "The significance of ISO 9001:2008 certification
is internationally recognized and gives customers worldwide
added confidence in our ability to reliably meet their
needs."
Z-AXIS' quality management systems cover its entire
operations, which encompass design through manufacturing all
under one roof. The systems help to ensure quality from
start to finish for custom printed circuit boards,
electromechanical assemblies, power supplies, video
displays, and text terminals. To maintain its certification
the company will undergo ongoing auditing inspections and
annual process verification.

New light sensor board enables auto-dimming in ultra-bright
ATM displays
Sunlight-viewable monitors automatically adjust brightness in response to ambient lighting conditions,
for optimum viewing both night and day
Display Concepts has introduced an
optional light sensor board for its V084H1
ultra-bright sunlight-viewable ATM monitor. The light sensor
detects ambient lighting conditions and automatically
adjusts display brightness to provide
optimum viewing in any lighting condition: from bright sunlight
to full darkness.
The light sensor board mounts on the ATM
case and easily connects to the V084H1 monitor. The monitor
also supports the built-in light sensors in Diebold ATMs.

Sunlight-viewable ATM display screen now has lower
cost, lower power consumption, longer life and even better
readability
Display Concepts redesigns its ultra-bright 8.4” LCD
monitor for NCR, Diebold, Fujitsu and Wincor-Nixdorf ATMs
Display Concepts has redesigned
its 8.4” sunlight-viewable LCD to
improve readability, reduce power consumption, increase the
lifetime and reduce the cost of this unique ultra-high-brightness
ATM display.
The model V084H1 ultra-bright ATM
monitor provides bright, full-color images that are easily
viewable in direct sunlight. The improved design offers
increased contrast for better readability. It also
introduces support for the built-in automatic dimmer found
in Diebold ATMs, automatically
adjusting brightness in response to ambient lighting
conditions to provide optimum viewing both night and day.
The improved model V084H1 is a redesign of the sunlight
viewable ATM
monitor line that Display Concepts acquired in 2007. A key upgrade was replacing the original
fluorescent backlight with a new, more efficient LED
backlight and ballast.
“Our engineering team has not only improved performance of
the original design, but has also created a product
that is more environmentally friendly due to its lower power
use and longer life,” said Robert Rippberger of Display
Concepts. “Field service personnel will also appreciate the
lighter weight of the new LCD.”
The V084H1 is fully backward compatible with the original design and all bracket kits. It is a
drop-in replacement for 10” CRTs and older 8.4” LCDs in
NCR, Diebold,
Fujitsu and
Wincor-Nixdorf ATMs.
Display Concepts offers a full line of
ultra-bright and
high-brightness LCD screens for indoor and outdoor
ATMs.
The displays are designed and manufactured in western New
York by
Z-AXIS, the parent company of Display Concepts. Z-AXIS
specializes in high-quality video display and electronic
products engineered for long life in demanding applications.

Display Concepts introduces low-cost, long-life ATM
replacement monitor for NCR and Diebold ATMs
New model V084S1 "high brightness" 8.4-inch LCD with mounting
kit is a drop-in replacement for 10-inch CRTs and older 8.4-inch LCDs
Display Concepts has introduced a new low-cost replacement monitor for
NCR
and Diebold ATMs. The new model V084S1 display is an 8.4”
flat-panel LCD to replace existing LCDs or upgrade older 10”
CRTs. A smart design approach reduces costs and ensures long
life; for example, a temperature-controlled fan runs only
when needed, rather than continuously as in other LCD
displays.
LCD technology offers brighter, sharper images than CRTs
and will not degrade over time due to screen burn. This
“high-brightness” V084S1
monitor is ideal for indoor
or outdoor ATMs. At 400 nits, the V08S41 is much brighter
then cheap LCDs (typically 250 nits) or old CRTs (100 nits)
on the market.
Display Concepts also offers a full line of
“ultra-bright” sunlight viewable ATM displays for easy viewing in direct
sunlight.
The new V084S1 display is designed and manufactured in
western New York by
Z-AXIS, the parent company of Display
Concepts. Z-AXIS specializes in high-quality video display
and electronic products engineered for long life in
demanding applications.
